1. Get your provisional license
Before you can learn to drive
you will need to obtain a provision driving license.
You can apply for this from the Driver and Vehicle
Licensing Agency (DVLA). The application form - the D1 -
can be completed online or obtained from your local Post
Office. Click

2. Pass the Theory exam
The theory test must be passed
before you take the practical exam. It is a multiple
choice computer test. There is also a Hazard Perception
Test.
We can advise on the learning materials required and our
instructors will be there to advise and provide you with
the support at every stage. To book the theory test you
will need to contact the
Driving Standard Agency (DSA) on 0330 200 1122 or
online at
direct.gov.uk/motoringonline.

3. Pass the Practical exam
The final practical exam is also booked with the
Driving Standard Agency (DSA).
We will let you know when we feel you are ready for your
test.

4. Pass the Pass Plus exam (Optional)
If you feel nervous driving on your own, the Pass Plus
training can help you become more confident on the road.
Pass Plus consists of six practical modules which cover
driving in a city, driving in all weathers, on rural
roads, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways.
You can take it any time within the first 12 months of
passing your test. It may also reduce your insurance by
15% on average!
